By accepting these terms, a binding agreement shall arise between you and The Institute of Makeup Artistry. ('IMUA')
By accepting these terms you agree to pay the course fee ('Course Fee') for the course you have selected under this Student Agreement ('Course'). Upon receipt of the Course Fee, IMUA agrees to:
1. supply to you all modules, video tutorials and assignments listed by IMUA for your Course ('Course Materials');
2. allocate a tutor to you at the time of enrolment, this tutor will be your contact and will remain your tutor while you are a student on the course. If your tutor is absent during this time, a substitute tutor will always be available.
3. mark and grade your assignments;
4. answer queries about your Course; and
5. issue a Certificate upon successfully completing all assignments.
The Course Fee does not cover any materials that are not listed as Course Materials for your Course. IMUA notes that you may need to provide your own equipment in addition to the Course Materials at your cost, i.e. Makeup Kit. Subject to successful completion of all assignments and the Course Fee being paid in full, IMUA will issue you with a Certificate for your Course.
Course Materials will be available to you as you progress through the Course and submit your assignments. IMUA reserves the right to withhold provision of Course Materials in the event that you fail to pay any part of the Course Fee as and when it becomes payable. If you are paying by instalments, you must pay all such instalments on or before the due date.
Irrespective of your progress through the Course, if you fail to pay any instalment by the due date, the total outstanding balance of the Course Fee will become immediately due and payable.
You may examine the first two modules and first assignment with absolutely no obligation for 7 days from your enrolment date. If you decide for any reason whatsoever not to proceed, email our team at IMUA within the 7 day period for a full refund.
The Course Materials, which IMUA provides to you shall become your property. However, the content of the Course Materials, including copyright and all other such intellectual property rights contained therein, remain the property of IMUA, Online Education Pty. Limited or a nominated third party. You may not reproduce any part of the Course Materials without the prior written consent of IMUA.
You are not to copy or download any of the videos made available to you to facilitate your learning as these resources remain the property of IMUA, Online Education Pty. Limited or a nominated third party and are only able to be streamed through the resources provided by IMUA.
IMUA does not accept any form of plagiarism. If there is evidence of plagiarism in any of your assignment submissions, IMUA reserves the right to remove you from the course.
The course can be completed in 24 weeks but you may take up to one year to finish your studies. Extensions beyond this are available if required, although IMUA reserves the right to charge a fee for extensions.
IMUA accepts no responsibility in the event of any third party offerings or discounts being revoked by the party involved.
The courses offered do not constitute higher education or vocational education and training (VET) in Australia or any other jurisdiction, constitute regulated qualifications under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) or any other similar policy in any other jurisdiction, lead to an Australian higher education award, the completion of a VET course accredited by the Australian Skills Quality Authority or other Australian accrediting state and territory bodies or any similar accredited awards or qualifications in any other jurisdiction, other than as specifically disclosed in the course prospectus.
